MINA MOORE
A Celebration of Life

On March 30, 2001 Mina Myrtle Moore died after living a long life. Days after the death, we paid our respects to her at the "wake" in a funeral home near Lindstrom. The day after that, we went to the Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Chisago City. She was a great person to be with throughout most of my life. I've met her since the late 1980's and she was the most important member of the Moore family. Now, it's time to celebrate the life and times of Mina M. Moore.

Mina Myrtle Moore was born on October 12, 1910 in Managha, Minnesota to Peter and Maude Merritt. On September 6, 1926 she married Eugene H. Moore. Mina helped in a farming factory work at the armory, but was best known as a nursing assistant. She worked as a nurses aide at Parmly, Cambridge Hospital, Chisago City Hospital, the Good Samaritan Home and as a county nursing assistant.

Mina's life was her family of fifteen children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Her interests were baking homemade bread, gardening, flowers, and card playing. Eugene and Mina also had the opportunity to travel from Key West to Alaska.

Some of her personal interests were the Flower Club, Senior Citizens Card Club, and Saint Labar'e Native American School. She gave her life to her family and was well remembered as a loving mother.

Mina was preceded in death by her husband Eugene, daughter Sally, one son and five grandsons. She was survived by thirteen children:
